The years were rolled back at Turlin Moor as
former player-manager Tony White brought together
a team of Borough favourites for the 10th
anniversary fixture against the Veterans. The
'Legends' side boasted eight players who had made
over 100 first team appearances and on the field
were four of the side who played in the Hornets
first competitive fixture - Alan Fooks, Paul
Morrell, Dave Holdroyd and Lee Atkins (playing
for the Veterans).
After
an even first half hour the Legends took the game
away from the Veterans with three goals in as
many minutes, but both teams served up some good
football in a game enjoyed by both players and
spectators.
